Ratchet lanyard with two eyes

A ratchet lanyard with two eyes is designed to tension the chain. Double eye type ratchet lanyards are mainly used in making chain ties to hold loads.

Purpose

A lanyard is a rigging device with which the degree of tension of ropes, cables and chains is adjusted. In addition, the lanyard is widely used as a length compensator, supporting and securing rigging device.

Turnbuckles can only be used for linear tension, i.e. along the axis, special attention should be paid to avoid overloads. Not designed for lifting operations.

Design

The lanyard is made by stamping from alloy steel, followed by zinc coating, it consists of two screws with opposite threads screwed into the coupling. The tension of the cables is regulated by the rotation of the central body (coupling), in which the screws are shifted to the center.

Depending on the design of the ends of the screws and their combinations, lanyards can be divided into the following modifications: "hook-hook", "ring-ring", "hook-ring". All structural elements are interchangeable, provided that the standard sizes are observed.
